Pause or close a Snug account for someone else

If a Snug customer cannot manage their account because of illness, hospitalization, or another reason, an emergency contact can ask Snug Support to pause or close the account on their behalf.

Choose a temporary pause if the customer may use Snug again. Request permanent closure only if the customer will no longer use Snug.

Request a temporary pause

Email support@snugsafety.com and include:

  • The Snug customer's name
  • The phone number associated with the customer's Snug account
  • The requested start and end dates for the pause

During the selected dates, Snug does not send reminders, the check-in button does not appear, and the customer cannot check in. Check-ins resume after the pause ends.

Request permanent account closure

Email support@snugsafety.com and include:

  • The Snug customer's name
  • The phone number associated with the customer's Snug account
  • The reason for the closure request

Snug does not require an obituary, death notice, or other document. Support processes these requests in real time.

Closing the account stops future check-in reminders, emergency-contact alerts, and billing. The customer should request a pause instead if they may want to use Snug again.

If a check-in has already been missed

Pausing or closing the account does not retract an alert that Snug has already sent. After a check-in is missed, Snug remains paused and does not create new daily missed-check-in alerts unless the customer checks in again. You do not need to rush to close the account solely to prevent another day's alert.
