How to notify emergency contacts on every successful check-in
By default, contacts only get notified if you don’t check in. However, many emergency contacts like the option to be notified when their loved one checks in every day. Emergency contacts have told us that getting notified of successful check-ins (vs missed check-ins) would lower their anxiety, and help them feel more connected. This is your choice because your comfort comes first. You are in control.
If you allow your emergency contacts to receive check-in notification emails, they will receive the following information via email every time you check in:
- When you checked in
- Your city of check-in (useful if you travel)
- Your quote of day
To adjust your check-in notification settings
- Tap Menu in the upper left corner
- Tap on Change Emergency Contacts
- Make a selection at the bottom of the page
- If you choose “Only notify emergency contacts if I miss my check-in time” Snug will only contact them if you do not respond to your daily check-in.
- If you choose “Give contacts option to receive notifications every time I check in”, each contact will be able to choose whether or not they want to get an email confirmation every time you successfully check in. This is ideal for family members who want to keep an eye on elderly loved ones.
If you are turning on this option for existing contacts, you will need to delete and re-add them in order to trigger Snug to send them a new invitation to receive check-in emails.
