How to change your emergency contacts
Add a new contact:
- Tap Menu in the upper left corner
- Tap Change emergency contacts
- Tap Add contact at the top of the screen
- Select or search for your contact's name
- Tap their mobile phone number so that they can receive Snug text messages
- Tap Save at the bottom of the page
When you push the green save button, Snug will send your emergency contacts a text message that says:
“You are Annie's emergency contact on Snug (don't worry – all is well). Tap for more info: https://snugsafe.com/personalizedlink”
Remove a contact:
- Tap Menu in the upper left corner
- Tap Change emergency contacts
- Tap the x button next to the contact you want to remove
Set notification preferences
At the bottom of the screen you can set your preference for how often Snug will notify your contacts.
- If you choose “Only notify emergency contacts if I miss my check-in time” Snug will only contact them if you do not respond to your daily check-in.
- If you choose “Give contacts option to receive notifications every time I check in”, each contact will be able to choose whether or not they want to get an email confirmation every time you successfully check in. This is ideal for family members who want to keep an eye on elderly loved ones.
If you are changing this setting for existing contacts, you will need to delete and re-add them in order to trigger Snug to send them a new invitation to receive check-in emails.
