Use Snug while traveling or changing time zones
You can continue checking in with Snug while traveling. Snug uses your phone's time zone so your check-in remains at the same local clock time wherever you are.
For example, if your check-in is normally at 8:00 AM Pacific and you travel to New York, it changes to 8:00 AM Eastern.
Update Snug after changing time zones
- Make sure location permission is enabled for Snug
- After arriving at your destination, open the Snug app
- Confirm that your next check-in is at the expected local time
Opening the app once after arrival allows Snug to sync with the phone's current time zone on both iPhone and Android.
Pause check-ins while traveling
If you do not want to check in while you are away, use Vacation Mode. See Pause check-ins temporarily for instructions.
International travel
Existing customers can continue using Snug to check in while traveling outside the United States and Puerto Rico.
Important for Dispatch Plan customers: Snug Dispatch can still call you and your emergency contacts while you are abroad, but it cannot coordinate a wellness check outside the United States.
