How does Snug handle time zones?

Snug uses your phone’s time zone to keep your check-in consistent — so you’ll always check in at the same local time, wherever you are.

For example, if you normally check in at 8:00 AM Pacific and travel to New York, your check-in will automatically adjust to 8:00 AM Eastern.

If you want to make sure Snug is using the right time zone, simply open the Snug app once you arrive at your destination. Snug will sync your phone’s clock automatically.

If you’d prefer to pause check-ins while you’re away, follow these instructions to turn on Vacation Mode:

  1. Open the Snug app
  2. Tap the Menu button (☰) in the top left corner
  3. Select Pause Snug for Vacation
  4. Choose your start and end dates, then tap Save

Snug will automatically resume check-ins the day after your vacation ends.
