Emergency Contacts are not receiving Snug SMS messages
If your emergency contact says they didn't receive Snug's welcome message or missed check-in message, here are a few things to try:
- Check their spam and blocked numbers to make sure Snug isn't blocked
- iOS users:
- Open iOS Settings app
- Scroll to the bottom and select Apps
- Tap Messages
- Scroll down to Text Messaging and tap Blocked Contacts
- Make sure (844) 243-9110 is not on the list – if you see it there, swipe left to remove it
- Android users:
- Open Google Messages
- Tap your profile photo
- Tap Spam & blocked
Unblock (844) 243-9110 if necessary
- Add +1 (844) 243-9110 to their contacts as "Snug"
- Have them send a text message to Snug / +1 (844) 243-9110 that says START
- Delete and re-add them as contacts in your Snug app (see below!)
Delete a contact
- Tap Menu in the upper left corner of the Snug app
- Tap Change emergency contacts
- Tap the (X) icon to the left of their name
- Tap the green Done button at the bottom of the page
- You will arrive back on the Snug home screen
Re-add a contact
- Tap Menu in the upper left corner of the Snug app
- Tap Change emergency contacts
- Tap the blue Add from contacts link at the top
- Tap their name
- Tap their mobile phone number
- Tap "OK"
- Tap the green Done button at the bottom of the page
- You will arrive back on the Snug home screen
Once you have deleted and re-added the contact, check with them to see if they received the Snug welcome SMS notifying them that you've added them as an emergency contact.
