What is Snug?

Snug is a daily check-in app for people who live alone. Each day, you check in to confirm that you are okay. If you do not check in by your deadline, Snug follows the missed-check-in process for your plan.

How Snug works

  1. Choose a daily check-in time
  2. Check in through the Snug app before your deadline
  3. After a successful check-in, Snug confirms that you are checked in for the day
  4. If you miss your check-in, Snug sends reminders and then follows the response process for your plan

With the Free Plan, Snug sends your emergency contacts a text message letting them know you missed your check-in. If Snug was able to gather your location, the message includes it. Your emergency contacts are responsible for trying to reach you and deciding what to do next.

With the Dispatch Plan, a Snug dispatcher calls you first. If your safety cannot be confirmed, the dispatcher calls your emergency contacts and may coordinate a wellness check with local emergency services.

See What happens if you miss a check-in? for the complete reminder and response timeline.
